We perform all sorts of Hardware and Software upgrades for your computer. You might be wondering how to increase your computer speed or asking yourself how to make my laptop faster? Increasing your computer performance can be achieved with a solid-state drive. Below is a video showing an upgrade to Windows 10 with a Solid State Drive Upgrades. By combining an Upgrade to Windows 10 and a Solid State Drive Upgrade we gave the old computer in the video a new lease of life and a huge speed boost!
Ok, What are the differences?
The Solid-State Drive is the same size as an old laptop hard drive. A desktop hard drive is larger. A desktop hard drive also spins faster. At 7200 rpm (revolutions per minute) to be exact. A laptop Hard Drive spins at 5400 rpm. A solid-state drive does not spin. It has no moving parts. Think of it as a big memory stick. Also, because it has no moving parts there is less to go wrong with it! Because the old style hard drives rotated, and an arm read the data of it, they are not as quick. And yes, old-style laptop hard drives are slower because they don’t rotate as quick.
Clean Up and Servicing
Imagine your computer to be a bit like a small child – it doesn’t clean up after itself! Most computers are full of temporary files and need a bit of TLC to keep them running smoothly. Defragmentation, or optimisation as the later version of Windows call it now is important. For more information on this service see Clean Up and Servicing.
Home CCTV and Smart Cameras
Smart home-based security cameras are a quick and cost-effective option for home security. Using your smart device you can turn on all your cameras with a single voice command as you leave the house.Click here for more information, Home CCTV and Smart Cameras to see what’s possible for your home, without monthly charges and just a one-off cost.
Lost your password or the machine won’t accept it? We can help recover it! My personal advice has always been to write all your passwords down in a book. And hide the book away! Don’t keep it next to the computer. Nobody’s memory is perfect and all the passwords and what they are for is a real headache to remember! However, they are designed to make your information safe and we all have to use them.

All the jargon can be very annoying and confusing when buying a new Computer! However, we remove the hassle and confusion. Our New-Computer buying service is an extremely popular option.
How it works;
- Firstly, we visit you and discuss your needs and budget.
- Then, we would find a PC or Laptop at a great price and order it for you.
- Finally, we bring it to your address and set it up!
You are only charged the original purchase price and the time it takes to set it up. Also, we can transfer all your old data – documents, photos and files – from your old PC to the new one. For full details, see the page on New Computer Set Up.
Smart Home Set-Up
Smart homes are becoming more and more popular. And smart devices make life easier. And who doesn’t want an easier life! In Our Computer Services, we offer full set up of Amazon Alexa devices including light bulbs, smart plugs and more. Click here, Smart Device Set Up for details of what a smart home can do for you.
Upgrade to Windows 10
As mentioned earlier under upgrades but I thought I’d mention it again as it is in a lot of peoples minds at the moment. If you are running Windows 7, support for it is running out in January 2020. It will still function after this date. What is stopping are security updates. Microsoft recommends updating to Windows 10 to lessen any risk of your system being compromised. A lot of people are wary of Windows 10 for a number of reasons. Most of this is because, as human beings, we don’t like change! I have written more on this, as it deserved its own article here, Upgrade to Windows 10.
